07 Oct Why is My Card Blocked?
YNB Fraud Protection Program
Protecting our customers from fraud is a top priority for YNB. To provide additional card security YNB uses FraudWatch Plus® which continuously monitors your YNB VISA Debit card activity.
If charges or transactions outside of your normal spending pattern appear on your card, your card could possible be “Blocked”. Although the YNB Fraud detection system is designed to detect abnormal activity on your card, it is possible that a legitimate purchase may appear suspicious and be declined.
So if you ever get a call from “FraudWatch Prevention Services” know that our fraud detection system is doing their job and preventing potential fraudulent use of your card.
If “FraudWatch Prevention Services” reaches you directly you will never be asked to provide your full social security number, YNB VISA debit card account number or PIN. If we are unable to reach you directly, we will leave a message asking you to contact “FraudWatch Prevention Services”.
And, if we are unable to contact you regarding the suspicious charges, your card may be temporarily blocked to prevent any fraudulent activity. The block will be removed once we are able to confirm the validity of the charges with you.
If you suspect fraudulent activity on your card or your card has been blocked, please call YNB at 350.1335 or any of our locations during business hours.
Special Note: It is important that you maintain current phone numbers with YNB so in the event that your card has been compromised or a block has been put upon it, we are able to alert you as soon as possible and correct the situation.
